BDS 6" lift - Coilover vs standard kit

Recommended Posts

I have searched but haven't been able to find a clear description of the benefits of going with coilovers vs the standard suspension lift kit.

Can someone fill me in on the benefits of coilover lifts?

Also, they offer the add a leaf in the rear instead of the blocks, is this worth the upgrade as well?

Thanks for your time!

Coilovers are for better ride quality. You lose some towing weight. I actually have the BDS 6" lift. Going to get add a leaf to the rear.

Okay that makes sense. So if you do the standard 6" lift (non-coilover) and the add a leaf, you will keep your towing weight capacity at the small sacrifice of a little rougher ride? 1500 bucks extra seems like a lot just for a little better ride quality!

You don't need add a leaf for the towing Im just doing for a Lil extra height. Truck still rides really good too Btw.
