Diode mod caused MyLink system to stop working - void warranty

Anything is possible but it's been done on many trucks including mine with no issue.

I would also avoid using non factory GM air freshener as that could void your warranty and cause electrical or transmission failure.

An electrical engineer brought up a good point in the other "diode mod gave my truck cancer and GM won't pay for chemo" thread, it was something to the effect that although diodes are like a check valve for electricity flow, they can sometimes fail or allow drain back which could cause havoc in today's modern complex electrical systems.
