Blend door motor replacement

Recommended Posts

Have a 05 GMC Sierra 1500, on occasion when I turn the truck on the drivers side vents blow out hot air while the passenger is nice and cold, turn the truck off and back on and it works again.

Looks like the drivers side blend door actuator is out. Anyone have any experience with this, am I right?

Also does anyone know where the drivers side one is located?

Thanks.

Tons of info, use the search tool and hang on!

I may need to be replaced, it may need to be calibrated. Sounds like its working some of the time.

The actuator that is giving you problems is located just above the center hump of the floor towards the passenger side under the dash. Youtube is your friend as well.

Good luck!
