Not sure you have had a trailer (or rv) before, but if you can before you sign, check the trailer out. Make sure you take your time going over the trailer from tongue to tail. Check the roof if you can for any cracks in the sealant, the water system, all apliances, open all cabinets and doors, slide out if you have one, lights, etc....

 

If you are new to trailers, video tape the pdi so you can remember how everything works!

Thanks, Yeah, we own (for about 6 more hours lol) a Jayco Kiwi. Been towing for 4 years or so. But totally plan to go over it all. Wife has a keen eye (she did choose me ;) ) so if something is not right, she'll find it.

 

Looking at some road side options now, just to be safe. Good sam vs Coach net, which is better for canadians, etc.

Something else I thought of, what size wd bars are you getting? It looks like that trailers dry tw is almost 800lbs before propane, battery, and stuff in the trailer. Make sure they are 1200lbs or so. Don't want to weak of a wd bar.

Is the trailer in the driveway??? How did the truck do towing it?

]Yup, made it home. Towed really nice actually. You obviously feel it in the hills, and if you don't mind winding the little 5.3 out a bit, she'll maintain speed no problem.

Made up a new wheel chock for it last night. with the wide wheel track, my old ones were too narrow.

I have thought about a set of X Chocks (or DIY version), just haven't done it yet. Also considering an extra set of scissor jacks in the middle of our new rig. Or maybe the stabilizer bars attached to the scissor jacks....
