Urea Tank Location

Does any one know if GM has any plans to move the urea tank location in the near future? Having it hang below the frame on a 4X4 just does not make any sense to me.

Just delete all the emissions shit or buy a ford or dodge that doesn't have that gay ugly ass tank hanging out in the open.

I believe the actual tank sits even with frame. There is a plastic cover kind of a skid plate that makes it look 1" lower.

 

Mount some running boards it become unnoticeable.

The tank may hang down but it is hard to knock a hole in one but I did it in my pasture. Just buy a good skid plate and forget about it. I now have the Or-fab one. Just drill one hole and use one body mounting bolt and be done with it. Also you may not see the Ford tank but I did see one the other day and it also hangs low but it is right next to the drive shaft, so if you should loose a ujoint it might get taken out also!!! I have not looked for or seen the tank on a Dodge, just don't care to look at them at all.

I'd tell you, but it seemed to be missing on the last one I looked at.

 

The fuel tank on the dodges is very low, I'd be more worried about that.
