djv1951 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Does any one know if GM has any plans to move the urea tank location in the near future? Having it hang below the frame on a 4X4 just does not make any sense to me.
sareljr Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Just delete all the emissions shit or buy a ford or dodge that doesn't have that gay ugly ass tank hanging out in the open. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chevor Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I believe the actual tank sits even with frame. There is a plastic cover kind of a skid plate that makes it look 1" lower. Mount some running boards it become unnoticeable.
doverarjim Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 The tank may hang down but it is hard to knock a hole in one but I did it in my pasture. Just buy a good skid plate and forget about it. I now have the Or-fab one. Just drill one hole and use one body mounting bolt and be done with it. Also you may not see the Ford tank but I did see one the other day and it also hangs low but it is right next to the drive shaft, so if you should loose a ujoint it might get taken out also!!! I have not looked for or seen the tank on a Dodge, just don't care to look at them at all.
kstruckcountry Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I'd tell you, but it seemed to be missing on the last one I looked at. The fuel tank on the dodges is very low, I'd be more worried about that.
