2015 overly loud door ding noise.

Pretty sure its controlled by the radio and comes out of the speaker

I've had my door panel off and didn't notice any separate speaker or module.

Yes the chime plays through the stereo speakers. It's been like this since the 07s came out. I tried to take it off of my 09 and found that there is nothing you can do.

Is this the same chime that dings right at start up, even with the doors closed? That one is also overly loud and very annoying! Wife hates it too. GM, are you listening? The wife doesn't like it. And if the wife doesn't like it... Here, since you don't get it, let me 'splain it to you; If Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!

It's one of only two things I dislike about the truck.

1999-2007 were the same, through the drivers door speaker.

Hmmm My 01 2500HD must have been different then. It had an old style flasher that I wrapped in foam tape to make it quieter when using the turn signals. I hated it when I got my 09 and could not turn it off.

I might be wrong lol. maybe it was 2003-2007.
