2015 Silverado 1500 seat hurts legs + feet when driving

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I bought a new 2015 Silverado 1500 LT (4WD Z71 5.3L V8 Midnight Edition) about a month ago. I have begun to notice that on my hour long drive to work my right leg begins to throb and ache. This pain then radiates down to me feet where my toes begin to throb and the arch of my foot. I only experience this sensation in this truck. It seems to be related to the end of the seat where the thigh right behind your knee hangs off the front edge of the seat. Does anyone else have this issue? I've tried adjusting the seat various ways and can't seem to solve it. It REALLY quite hurts to the point I dread the ride more than normal. Also, does anyone know of some good cushions that will fit the seat so as to raise my legs above the edge of the seat? Let me know, thanks.

I drive straight through 18hour drive and get nothing like what you describe beside typical old man pains from being cooped up in a lil truck. With that being said, I am 6'3" and my seat is as low as it will go.

I also put an 18hr day in earlier this summer (same truck as OP) and didn't experience any discomfort. I certainly would have in my old G6. Keep playing with seat heights and tilts.

Do you drive with the cruise control on? I think anyone that keeps their foot on the throttle for an extended period of time may experience discomfort. Just a thought.

I know... I'm actually headed to camp lejeune the 18th to get my son and move him back home (well OSU) which will be that same 18hr drive. I may go 3 hours out of the way this time though... :)

Sorry for your pain, tail bone hurts me . You can find wheel chair cushions at Pharmacies and medical supply stores or fold up a large bath towel to sit on

Only thing I can think of is to try lowering the front of the seat and raising the back a bit (assuming you have power driver seat). I did that to get more comfortable, wasn't having pain though.

Another thought, since leg pain can originate in the lower back is to try more or less lumbar support. I would guess more, but everyone is different.

Hope you get it figured out soon.
