My truck saved the day!!!

So we're in SoCal and its been HOT.

we got up early for a busy day this morning and everybody is running around getting ready.

A couple minutes later my wife comes in and says the power is out! This is bad I think. No blow dryers, no curling irons and too hot for the girls to do their makeup.

My generator is loaned out and the trailer w gen is in storage. I'm thinking CRAP-we're screwed!

Plan B-We're getting ready to head to her parents when my lovely wife asks-don't you have that power thingy in your truck???

Yeah, let me go check it out. I fired it up, turned on the AC and they were set. Hair and makeup in the driveway

Major chaos avoided[emoji12]

Thanks GM

pretty cool but that borders on losing your man card. Thought I was going to read about your truck pulling out a stuck ford.

Agreed. Could man it up a bit, like lie to us and tell us we saved a bus full of nuns and orphans afterward or something. But then again any married man knows the short and long term benefit coming through in the clutch.

That I think is a deduction on your man card points, -30pts for the pink curling iron and -20pts for what ever that other thing is. Now if you would have had a battery charger plugged in for your power tools to help get the power back up then that would be a 100pt add to your man card.

I keep 2 sets of man card records. The "wife record" and the public record.

The pink is for curling the hair...the other one to straighten it out again. I guess.

And +10 pts to the man card for finding out the best punch line for future debates about the necessity of a truck. hail.gif

Where do you live by where the power went out? Been blasting the AC for days and some nights up in SGV, i'd go berzerk if the power went out, lol.
