Stock wheels on lifted trucks!

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new here.  First post.  Love seeing all of your nice rides.

Just finished '18 LT Z71 installed 4" BDS with Fox shocks, factory GMC Denali 20s and 295 60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and AMP research powersteps

I needed a 1/4 spacer in front to accommodate factory backspace, no rear spacers, very minimal trimming of front valance

Well done.  That looks perfect to me.  GM has a lot of great stock wheels, and I think 3.5-4" of lift looks perfect.

Thanks,  I agree regarding lift sizes.  I like what other are doing to their rigs, but I think that more than 4" would have been too much for my taste.  I wanted to just "beef" up the factory look, I am really happy with how It turned out.  In my opinion they should come from the factory closer to this (factory before pic)....

My chevy 2018. 2” Front leveling kit

Wheels 20x10 Offset -19

Tires are A/T Nitto terra grappler 35x12.5

no spacers.

*** front tires rubs at full turn!

***cutting and hammering required.

Fixed with my own DIY skills.

Lift kits on its way. To make this truck offroad functional.

This forum has been very educational to me.

I am very greatful to those guys who share and contributes great infos. Thank you.

I myself has been very excited, doing diy’s on my truck. My first...hahhaa...since ive been wanting a truck.  Ive always gave in to the wife’s just wanting a family van!

Now i got my Chevy 2018!...i loved it...Mods done are

1. 2in lift

2. Wheels/tires combo. 20x10 -19offset from Mayhem, Nitto ridge grappler 35x12.5!

3. Some wheel well cutting and hammering for clearance!...hahaha

Fyi...with these first mods...i lost some mileage.

then...

4. S&B air intake installed...recovered the mileage back!!!

awesome sound!...i couldnt get enough

i ordered myself...

5. BORLA ATAK dual exhaust! 2 side exit!

SOUNDS GREAT...and MEAN!!! but then lost again those mileage!...dangit!

...easy installed all by myself in my garage. No assistant.

...

today my 7inch lift kit will be installed. I couldnt sleep. I want it done now!!!

this kit i believed is a must and perfect if you want the real offroading functionality to accomodate my tire setup.

We will see.

Hey guys! New member here, I recently bought a 2017 Silverado with 286/65/18 ridge grapplers with kmc Xd rims. I’ve never been huge on aftermarket wheels, preferring stock with the bigger tire. I want to put on the z71 18” wheels shoes but I’m concerned it’ll make the truck look “less fancy” according to my wife. I’m having a hard time finding any black Silverados with these wheels in them...any input? Anyone want to buy my rims? Thanks everyone!
