so many issues with my 2014 ( what you have to look forward to when yo

I have 2014 Sierra with 91,000 miles on it that was purchased bran new in dec 2013... I have had so many problems

First 3 days windshield motor went bad, at 12k replaced radiator ( dealer told me they had several that were replaced, all leaking from the same spot).. The truck has always shifted funny but was told it was normal..... Starting smelling antifreeze again in December 2014 but saw no leaks .... In June I took truck back in to have tranny looked at because of grinding noise and was told they could not duplicate it... ( charges 120 bucks, plus nearly 200 bucks for a tail light bulb, I was told the wiring on my 18 month old truck was bad, also told radiator was leaking again from the exact same spot, only a year after replaced. GM refuses to fess up to the radiator problems ( customer no service rep told me othe vehicles with similar problems don't mean any thing... ( numerous trucks leaking from same spot is a problem they do not want to admit to) .. Today to top it off my transition went out ( luckily with 9k of power train warranty left ) I'm out of town for work and GM will not provide a rental so I am stuck with no truck, out of town and

Guess while it is there I will have my annual radiator installed......

Truck Rattles, vibrates, phone link is always looking up, 4 wheel drive has locked up twice, all the lights have cut out three times,

The saddest thing is that the people at GM are so rude, will not tell tou the truth, and treat your 40,000 dollar purchase with them like an employee at McDonald's treats you when you buy a mc double... So while I'm stuck missing work out of state I made up my mind that I'm going to start putting decals on my truck stating every issue I had and using it as a mobile billboard warning people of how unreliable gmc trucks are... They won't care but if I save at least one person from buying a gmc truck I will be able to sleep a little better..... GM used to make a great product we have 4 of them in our house but non of us will buy another one again

I bought my truck in December of 13 too, it was built August 13. I have had none of the problems you stated. I haven't read about this pandemic of leaking radiators on these trucks. Sorry to hear you're having all these problems but trying to paint a picture that all of these trucks are problematic is plain absurd just because you had problems specific to yours. Mine has been trouble free thus far with 26K miles and on par with the previous Tacoma I had. I'm happy with my truck. Sounds like it's time for you to switch brands.

Dave, you poor soul, just sell it and buy another made by one of the other companies. My Ford work truck is going on its second transmission and only has 50k miles on it but the other ones in our fleet have been fine. Sucks but it happens.

What good is the billboard going to do if it's in the service department all the time?

Like mentioned before, sorry to hear you got a shit truck, it's not just a GM thing but I certainly can relate to your frustration and I'd be spending that time test driving other trucks.

Wow, another 4 post member who only comes on here to gripe and then never posts again.

I call BS on the no rental car, if you are under powertrain warranty GM will pay for the rental vehicle as long as your vehicle is out of service for overnight or longer. The dealer is the one who sets this up, not GM as they are the ones who submit the rental claim for reimbursement from GM. Sounds like the dealer is being lazy.

The dealer is half the battle. Unfortunately, they lay the groundwork for the GM name since they are the one in front of the customer.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Just out of curiosity, how are the other 3 GM's in your driveway? I've got close to 700,000 miles on the 3 GM's I own, and I've only had to replace the fuel pump on my truck once.

Switching brands really is the way to go. If everyone with a very bad experience does that, then the makes are rewarded appropriately for their designs. (So if company A makes 1 bad truck in every 100, they lose 1 customer. If brand B makes 10 bad ones in a hundred, they lose 10 customers. Etc.)
