Noise and vibration after turning over speed bump

So here's a strange one. I first noticed this issue when I was driving my '94 Silverado to work. Some days after I entered the parking garage and made the first left turn, which happens to be where a speed bump is, I would suddenly start hearing a strange noise and feel a vibration. It seemed like it was coming from the left side and the best way I can describe it is a combination of the tire dragging over the concrete and a thumping while moving. If I'd stop, no noise, but as soon as I start driving it creeps back and really starts up when I continue up the ramps to the next floors. Note that the entire trip is going straight and making lefts, moving counter-clockwise around the garage. After I pulled into my parking space, worked all day and then left, the issue would seem to be corrected.

The only thing that I was able to correlate it to was hitting that damn speed bump going around the first corner in the garage, and if I took it very slowly I didn't seem to have the problem.

Now I have a 2014 Z71 and I've started to have the same problem! Today though, I tried something different. After I got the issue I stopped and turned the wheel all the way to the right. Part of the way through the turn, I heard a light thump/click. After starting to drive again, the issue seemed to be gone. This seems to explain why I was originally able to fix the problem by backing into my parking space, which required turning the wheel to the right.

So does anyone know what's actually happening here? Am I causing some sort of long term harm to the components by driving in a certain way? Do I have to baby this truck over speed bumps?!
