MyLink issues since IOS9

I guess I could be wrong. I just got off a chat with GMC. They say that IOS 9.2.1 has a patch to address the issue. It still does not make sense to me on how this is a phone issue when other vehicles do not show the same symptoms.

There is a whole litany of issues reported that are 9.2-specific for Bluetooth. It is NOT a GM issue.

Mine has been going back to Bluetooth audio for the music on my device randomly when I have the truck read a text to me too. It's annoying for sure. I've tried the issue with Pandora playing, Spotify playing, xm, and radio..after a call it has diverted back to Bluetooth. I know this is a small needle in the haystack and won't be the sole reason a new update is rolled out to iOS 9, it would be nice for them to throw a fix in with the next one though for this. I also find it strange, that according to Apple, it hasn't worked properly since I bought the truck last December until now lol.

I will be glad when 9.2.1 is released -- I have my dad's truck right now as mine is in Texas and it started doing this; drives me up a freaking wall!

I was hoping it would be fixed before wife and I head home to get my Z71.

Can someone running 9.2.1 confirm its working correctly, i.e. Waze or something else speaks via BT and the previous media resumes playing (not iTunes music)

I don't think 9.2.1 is available.

9.2.1 is out in BETA form. Someone on another thread claims to have downloaded it and found that made NO difference.

I installed iOS 9.2.1 beta on my iPhone and it didn't fix anything.

It's really kind of frustrating because this was one of the few things that functioned flawlessly prior to the update.

Ugh. It worked just fine for me until the most recent update. That is when mine broke in my dads truck. I have iPhone 6.

I notice to that if I am listening to another source of audio XM,Radio etc and a text comes in in sometimes won't alert me even though my phone is connected, sometimes it does, weird .

Friend of mine tried 9.2.1 beta and it didnt fix anything on his '15 Cadillac also.

its pretty frustrating since I make quite a few calls and use the HPF prompts in maps (I dont have NAV so I use the iphone maps daily) and every time it's done it plays from the music library on the phone. It was working perfect before 9.2. It was a huge PITA to downgrade to 9.1 but at least its working again in both my cars with 9.1.

I just tried downgrading to 9.1 and it told me my phone was not compatible LOL.

Bummer

Apple has stopped signing the iOS 9.1 firmware. So, if you haven't already gotten it from somewhere, you're toast.

I was afraid of that -- so I'm stuck with it.

Today, for whatever reason, mine is back to 'normal'. Haven't updated software on anything. Works with hands free and receiving calls. Hope I don't jinx it.

Fat fingered and shot from the hip.

I was using my Bluetooth headset this afternoon and sure enough, same behavior as my truck. I ended the call and my iPhone immediately started playing my music over the earpiece even though I wasn't doing that before. I definitely think this is an ios issue and not a gm.
