MyLink issues since IOS9

I use siri to ask for directions, then the MAP app uses HFP prompts to play the directions over the radio. With 9.2 after giving directions it would switch to bluetooth music on the iphone, as well as after making phone call.

I really dont want to lose Siri, its pretty handy on these, all you have to is hold down the voice button. I got lucky and went back to 9.1 before Apple stopped signing it and WAZE, Siri, maps, phone calls everything works fine.

Its not a huge problem but I dont understand why apple wont fix it, its not just GM cars/trucks that 9.2 messed up.

Turning off Siri still allows Waze to give directions over bluetooth and return to the music/radio etc you had been listening to and not automatically starting iPhone's music like it has been doing on the latest iOS. I used Waze as an example, but I was asking generally for all apps that use bluetooth sound. Now Apple just needs to fix the bug so I can turn Siri back on. This is an acceptable workaround for now.

Everyone with an iPhone having the problem needs to go here http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html and fill it out. The more people who complain about them breaking it will help get a fix.

Along with the link, It would be helpful to post a general comment we can copy/paste into the reporting comments field so we re main consistent.

Does this mean you won't get sound of any sort when using a 3rd party app like Waze?

Here's the issue, Waze will work fine

But when Waze stops speaking, the car will start playing whatever is in your iTunes library (either on phone or via cloud) regardless of what you were listening to before Waze

So, on 9.1, I deleted all my music on the phone itself and signed out of iTunes and everything works as expected, ie sat radio then Waze speaks then back to sat radio

This is broken in 9.2 and seems still broken in 9.2.1 and 9.3

I don't know if the turning off Siri trick will also work for me, I never tried once I figured out the work around

Yep as I said above it works without Siri on. I was aware of all the issues and what it did with the latest version of iOS and I was aware of your workaround of deleting all the music files which wasn't acceptable to me. Turning Siri off is much easier and easy to turn back on if really needed.

Still broken in 9.2.1 beta and 9.3 beta. I tested this morning. I'll have to go file another bug report with Apple [emoji35]

I have 9.2 on my iphone 6 and turning Siri off fixed the problem - thanks to the person who mentioned this as it was making me mental!

My VW (a '14 sportwagen) has no problem with the BT connection, Siri off or on.

Turning Siri off did not work for me as it still goes and grabs iTunes music after she announces.

I fight it for awhile then just feel beat down and listen to my iTunes music!

9.2.1 official release is out.

Anyone try it? I dont want to since I wont be able to go back to 9.1 if I do :(

It didn't work in Beta so I wouldn't hold my breath. Same with 9.3 beta 1. But I'm sure someone will try and let us know.

True, but they said was two or three 9.2.1 beta versions. Was hoping they may have slid a fix in there at the last minute.

I just turned Siri back on with 9.2 and tried it -- same issue.

I'm back to Siri being off. It's not fixed in the update.

Did the 9.2.1 and its stil broken, on GM cars anyhow. Works with Siri shut off. Wife's Chrysler Uconnect seems to be OK.

Most likely unless GM changes/updates something thats they way it will be going forward.
