Great tuning gains out of my 4.3 with time slips.

Well I've had my 2015 Silverado with the 4.3 since January and I think with tuning alone I've hit my best times. Yesterday was some great air minus a 10-20mph head wind. I think with a little more tweaking and no wind I could see a 15.00 but that will have to wait till the spring. I think I have made great progress with just a tune to show how much potential this new 4.3 has. I am curious to see what other guys with the 4.3 are running. If you have times for your 4.3 or even the DI 5.3 as well I would love to see them.

Im not sure I've seen a lot of guys taking the 4.3 to the track but your time slips show a nice improvement.

There is tuning devices for the 4.3? That amazes me, considering there is no official intake system even designed/released for the 4.3

Like I've said in previous threads, the 4.3 gets no aftermarket love.

My buddy is a local tuner who tuned my truck. Any tuner that uses HPTuners can tune the 4.3. I also had a CAI on my 4.3 All of the CAI for the 5.3 work on the 4.3 you just need to get a different adapter that connects the intake tube to the throttle body which is a 4" to 3" adapter. Also I think K&N makes a CAI for the 4.3 now part number 63-3085 and 77-3085KP

Here is a link to guys who have put CAI on the 4.3

Stock time slip vs Tuned time slip

Nice gain. What gears? I bet the 8 speed would help get things moving a bit quicker. Hopefully GM will make it an option across all engines.

Very impressive, a 5+mph gain from tuning alone is nothing to sneeze at! What was the difference in weather between the two trips?

Stock was 54 degrees, 5mph wind, and DA of 334 and the 15.14 was 47 degrees,10 to 20mph wind, and DA of 99
