Leveling My Chevrolet

New to the forum, I am trying to level my 2011 Chevrolet Z71 and need advise on best results of others as to type of leveling kit to install and what size tire. I am currently at factory but am looking to level the front with the back and go with the biggest tire without it rubbing. I measured the height of the fenders front and back and there is approximately 2 inches difference? Please help!!!

2" Rough country leveling kit for $70 bucks is your best choice.

2 different options:

Option 1: Spacers, these push your stock coilovers down and create your lift. These can be found at almost every off road shop.

Option 2: New coilovers, expensive but create a better ride. A few examples are Fox and King. You lift the front of your truck by adjusting the amount of preload. These will need to be ordered or if your lucky your local off road shop may have a set in stock.

I used to have spacers on my 07.5' Sierra and it really tightened up the suspension. Depending on your budget, go for what's best for you. It's the difference between $200-300 for spacers and $2000 for coilovers, it just depends on what you want.

I just took delivery of a '15 silverado 1/2ton reg cab long bed 2wd. Your post caught my eye, since this is one of the very few modifications I'm planning.

My hope is to get more height from the front end so that I can add a receiver hitch up front. I want to put a rack up front. I can only imagine dragging it at every lot I pull into at its current level.

Then you can get 285's on there which is just shy of 33's without any rubbing or trimming needing to be done.

I am doing the same thing with my 2011 Z71. Its all original and i just wanted it to sit level. I paid $56.00 to my door for the Rough Country 2in GM Leveling Lift Kit. Its on sale now for $49.95 with Free shipping. I just haven't found time to install it. Looks really strait forward in the videos also my brother has installed the same kit before and said it was easy.

I had the skyjacker leveling kit on my 07 1500 and wasn't happy with it. You have to take the both coilover assembly out and switch sides with them. I believe the lower mounts were angled so they didn't want to bolt in without really twisting the lower mount. After it was leveled I felt it would pogo over speed bumps and hit really hard on certain potholes. The new and I think better way is a spacer UNDER the coilover. It stiffens up the ride a little but not bad at all. I noticed my truck with the Zone Off-Road leveling kit takes the corners way better then at stock height.

I call BS on the 285 with a 2 inch rough country level not rubbing. I have 285/70r/17 BFG KO2 and a 2 inch level from rough country they rub when turning tight or even backing out of the drive. I have KMC Rockstar 2 rims with -12 offset and I still had to trim my plastic inner fender and also some of the metal.

285's with a level wont rub on stock wheels
