2016 Silverado "BLOCK PARTY"

I couldn't even imagine how one would go about selling all those sets of stolen wheels and not get caught.. Crazy.. Also crazy the dealer didn't have any type of security system.

They had cameras... but most dealerships around here encourage prospective buyers to drive on and walk the lots after hrs, in the hopes they will make a sale the next day. And as far as selling these go, ive seen plenty of sets like these on ebay, craigslist, etc.

At least they left the lugs... Thieves will be thieves...

I had to go back and look at the pics after reading this. Indeed the lugs look to be on the ground next to the trucks. Crazy they did not seem to have any form of security on the lot. Many of the dealers in my area have been using motion activated cameras which notify alarm companies attached to the top of the light poles.

Sucks for the dealer but how can they say each wheel mounted is worth $1666. Isn't that a bit steep?

Full retail of a GM wheel, center cap, tpms/valve stem, and tire would be $1666.

Probably a inside job, bet someone takes the rap for it, that's to many wheels to move and not get caught.

Would a stealership get reimbursed full retail cost, or just their cost? I mean that seems like a great move if they get reimbursed full retail price. That's a few hundred dollars profit per wheel to replace. Pay some kid minimum wage to mount and balance 180 wheels and they are rolling in money.

Also I am pretty sure if you got in that box truck and drove several states over and started selling tires on several different eBay accounts you could move them simple and quick. Put a couple ads on Craigslist. Spread them out so it's not obvious one guy is suddenly selling 45 sets of brand new take off wheels.
