robsieb Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Was just looking at the 2016's with spray-in bed liner and noticed there are no hooks like I have in my 2014. Went looking for them on Ebay and one guy was selling a set he had saying they would not work in the 2015 with the liner. I'm curious to know if anyone has looked into this or is it just the fact that the liner is sprayed in over the plugs? Any thoughts?
redwngr Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 The moveable bed hooks are delivered with a Sierra in a box (qty 4). Remove the plastic plugs and insert in desired locations. This truck and the previous were both factory spray-in and the hooks work fine. The fixed hooks at bottom get sprayed over but are also still available for use. The moveable hooks are still optional on Silverado.
savaytse66 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Just clamped my rings in for the first time this morning on a 2016 Denali. There are some aftermarket sprayers that spray over the caps; the one I used did that until recently. I made sure when I had it sprayed that they did not spray over them. Off the top of my head, there are three on each side along the top and one in the center at the cab end for a total of 7. I like the idea of being able to move the rings around.
redwngr Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Three places available on each side, and three across the front. But they only supply 4 moveable hooks. From OM: "The vehicle may be equipped with cargo tie-downs. Any of the nine holes inside the truck bed can be used for tie-downs. The maximum load is 113 kg (250 lb) per tie-down."
galliher_nc Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 My truck has the factory spray-in bed liner and the OEM hooks work fine.
