Rear view mirror with thermometer/compass

My '07 Classic 1500 had a mirror with the airbag indicators only.

 

I bought a mirror off of ebay that had the compass and thermometer on it as well. The "new" mirror came with the old wiring connector and it has the same wires as I have on my truck.

 

Plugged it in and get this on the display;

 

 

I tried a new ambient temp sensor today but no change.

 

Any ideas?

Got it! Took the mirror down again, there's a little circuit board behind the trim piece right where the mirror bolts to the windshield. Circuit board has a plug-in and two silver boxes attached, each silver box is soldered to the board in two spots and soldered to a copper winding in the box. One side of the copper winding and one side of the box were broken loose, re-soldered those, re-connected and the display is back up and running.

 

Now just have to calibrate the compass and I'm all set

Great catch.. did u inform the company u purchased it from? It may help alot of other ppl with this problem if u do
