Seal Replacements for Front Vent Windows

Recommended Posts

For folks with the older Blazers with vent windows, has anyone replaced their seals around the glass yet? It doesn't look very complicated, but I know a couple guys who have done this, and then as soon as they open and close their windows for the first time, there are permanent leak spots (annoying air sounds and little water coming through in car washes).

Mine is totally due to replace - it sounds so loud when driving down the road - real bad over 55mph, lol! I almost want to replace the seals, shut the windows, and weld the latch shut so none of my friends or family ever accidentally open them again and mess up the seals. I don't drive an 88 because it's a quiet ride :) but this has been the bane of driving it, now for 6 years.

Let me know your experiences if you have any.

Like you said once you open them they always leak air, I have never once opened them on my 87.

I had two other trucks with them and learned the hard way.
