2007 silverado 1500 crew cab window problem

Recommended Posts

I have a 2007 Silverado crew cab and suddenly without any previous problem the windows will not work. The passenger front window works only from the front passenger door and not from the driver's door all other options of window control are inoperative. No window control from the driver's door or either rear passenger door's. Have checked the MBEC and the LBEC fuse's and they are good. Also checked the window fuse inside the cab and it was good. Also checked all four window circuit breakers and they are good. Any help would be appreciated.

Problem turned out to be that the drivers door module was not receiving the RAP signal from the BCM. This is a very low current 12vdc logic signal. I was not able to prove if it was a broken wire or bad output from the BCM. The driver's door switch module has 2 electrical connector's and with the key on 12vdc should be present on 3 of the pins between the two electrical connector's. The bigger of the 2 electrical connector's should have 2 pin's with 12vdc ( one for window motor and one for logic ) and the smaller connector should have 12vdc on only one pin ( lights ) In order to satisfy my window switch logic and not buy another BCM or try to find where the wire may be broken at I just jumpered 12vdc from the light wire ( brown / white ) to the logic wire ( yellow ). Logic does not require much current so this worked out fine. All my windows are working again and have been working for a week now.
