Swap and wiring differences gas vs diesel

Recommended Posts

Wrecked my 2000 2500 6.0 truck. Have found a 2001 roller that had a duramax in it. I have my complete trucj to use as parts.

I think these models are similar in harnesses (no change) , but wondering if most engine and body harnesses would clip up?

I know I need to change fuel tank and lines and would need to change gauge clusters, but anything else?

Will be a big project, but as long as wiring doesn't get me stuck then I am on board..... I think!

I've messaged a couple guys that's done similar swaps , or reverse of mine, that said should be straightforward given the closeness of year models and whatnot
