Dropped my 2014 Sierra off at the dealer

I bought a used 2014 Sierra with 43,000 miles on it that came certified pre-owned with a 1yr 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. I flew out to go get it cause it was everything that I wanted but didn't really do any searching on the vibration issue. Well turns out the truck has it, not surprised after reading as to how many people are having issues.

I hope that the dealer takes it seriously even though I didn't buy the truck from them. The service advisor didn't seem to enthused about the fact that I didn't buy the truck from them.

The rearend is also kinda loud on decel from 40-50mph, and has the rough idle issue especially upon cold start.

I am not really sure what to think about the situation or how it is going to be handled. I will post an update as to what they say later today.

if the dealer is worth their oats, GM has a very specific NVH testing process in place for the dealers to use to locate the cause of the vibration.

I hate to say it but isn't the pre-owned warranty thing on the dealer itself since this is technically out of warranty and they not gm are the ones that certified it?

I hope they work with you but you should be prepared to contact the dealer you bought from and let them handle how they would like to fix it, maybe they can work with the dealer you are at and reimburse them for any cost related from gm.

That is a completely false statement. The truck was bought at a GM dealership and as a GM-Certified pre-owned vehicle, which means any GM dealership will provide the 1yr/12,000 mile warranty service if necessary.

Contacting the dealer i bought it from isn't an option since it is 7hrs away.

They pulled the driveshaft yesterday and didn't find it out of balance. Supposed to perform the more extensive test today and let me know what they find.
