08 Silverado OEM heat/cooled seat conversion?

I have an 08 Silverado with cloth non power seats. I just picked up a set of heated cooled leather power seats, supposed to be from an 09. After some research it seems that installing them like factory is a nightmare. I was thinking since the seat system is self contained I should be able to make them work without using factory harnesses and BCM, DCM. I am thinking I could use a double throw rocker to switch from heat to cool and another one to switch on off? They could be mounted just forward of the power seat controls. Does any one have knowledge of the circutry and wiring of the seat system to mae this work?
