2005 Yukon Denali SWB Bose Y91 Nav NO Audio

I was asked to get involved in a 2005 Yukon Denali audio problem after the vehicle was put into a GM dealership service department with the complaint of No audio until you hit a bump and then it would work properly. Of course another bump or incident and there was No audio again. The dealership replaced the BOSE amp and then the only speaker that would play was the passenger front door speaker. It played at all times regardless of any bumps or jolts to the vehicle. The tech told the customer that the factory speakers had shorted the amp and the speakers needed to be replaced.

That is when the vehicle came to me, as the customer had ordered new factory door speakers for replacement. I started at the rear doors and when replacing the speakers it did not make any difference. I checked the original speakers for Ohm and they were in spec to the new speakers. I then pulled the factory Nav radio and sent it with the old amp to a radio repair shop to get checked out. The radio checked out perfectly and they said that the amp was indeed bad and needed repair. I had both items returned to me in there present state. I then started over pulling all the door panels and even the rear and front pillar speakers to check for shorts in the wiring from the amp harness under the console. I could not find anything that I felt was abnormal so after calling a few places to get ideas I am a crossroads in what to do with this Yukon.

If anyone has any ideas or needs more info please help in anyway that you can..

Thanks,

Eric
