2006 tail lights

Hello , I want to get 06 silverado tail lights in my 00. My tail lights are baked and I like the 06 look. I would order them right now, but I want to make a double check to see if they'll fit. Someone told me the wire harness is different. If thats the only difference then ill still buy them and change out the harness. I need a 3rd opinion.

They will fit no problem, but the harness is a little different. The 06 has a small bulb at the bottom that is another tail light. Your truck will not have this.

If I buy two new wire harness's will the Plug right into the spot of the old ones. I guess what im trying to ask is will the 06 wire fit into the preexisting plug in port. ( I had to dumb it down for myself to understand what Im trying to ask)

You mean the plug on the frame under the bed? If so, that I'm not sure of.

Yeah the circut board . I looked it up and its a $20 part if I need it. Was just wondering so I could buy them all at one time. No big deal. Thanks man
