I haven't used a key in a regular vehicle for over 3 years. My Ram and Corvette neither use a key except in an emergency. It's so nice to walk up to your car or truck and just pull on the door handle and it unlocks and then just push the button and drive off. Even a lot of econoboxes have them.

It won't be a deal breaker but it will be like going back to a carburated vehicle after years of fuel injection.

I loved this in my cts v and why I was shocked my 15 "denali" didn't have it. What is the equivalent Ram truck for Denali? Just curious so I can compare the options.

A new generation already? The 400s were out for over a decade... The 800s were out for 8 years, the 900s for 6 years for the 1/2s, 7 for the 3/4 and 1 tons.. Why so soon on the K2s?

The industry has changed. 4-5 year models is all you will get out of a generation before you are too far behind.

IMO push to start is a joke.. If your fob gets cold or battery dies good luck starting your vehicle. Found out the hard way this past February in Minnesota. Buddys TDI push to start key fob battery died due to cold temps.. We figured out a way to get in but can't operate car with out FRESH BATTERIES. I'll stick to keys :)

I couldn't agree more. Why trade in a reliable key for something your not in control of? No thanks.

So as a tech, I HATE push button start. As a consumer they may be OK. But only with the auto unlock, keep your keys in your pocket option. Not all have both options. If you have to get the key out to get in then you might as well use it to start.

Has it been confirmed that there will be a new redesigned truck for 2018? Or is it just speculation?

Mostly just speculation. It could be 2019 as well

Suprised they went away from Iridium Metallic. Seems like a very popular color.

Limited and Longhorn. Why am I giving up on Ram? I don't like the new Limited grill and just not enough engine in the half tons for what I tow.

I don't get the guys having issues with cold. It has NEVER been a hot forum issue on any Corvette or Ram forums. Where do they store their key fob, in the freezer? It sure won't freeze in your pants pocket.....unless your dead, I guess. ;)

Not trying to bash anyone. I was skeptical at first but now I will really miss it with a GMC. Assuming that ends up as my choice. I see 2017 will go to a capless gas filler. Nice. I haven't had a cap for years either. Looking more like I'll wait for a 2017 Ultimate.
