amiel.herrick Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 New to the forums. I have a 1998 gmc k2500 5.7l 350. Had a blown head gasket. Fixed the head gasket and now it misfires in cylinders 1,2,3,4. Replaced plugs, wires, distributor, injectors, fuel filter. I'm at a loss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Astrius Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Check to make sure gap is correct on plugs? Believe it's 0.60.
amiel.herrick Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 They are all at 0.60. All ACDelco. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Astrius Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Sure your cables are connected properly? (below) Firing Order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Coil 6 5 4 3 2 7 8 1 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Front of vehicle Does it run rough at normal operating temp? Any knocking/etc? A bit more details would be useful.
barry G Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 if it steamed to the front, it may be bothered by the headgasket fail. poppet ends on the injection.. something this also may bring a cat code, o2 sensors fail eventually. unique error, it is cool to be able to see it through computing.
amiel.herrick Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 It does have an intermittent knock. I've check all the cables and they are fine. It always has a rough idle but levels out at really high rpms. There are no codes except for the p300. I replace the whole spider injector system and it stayed the same.
