It depends on if your truck is an SLT/LTZ or not. Those are the only trucks that the GM engineer told me would have the connectors in place if the truck didn't get the slider installed from the factory. You would be looking at the overhead switch panel, the rear window and several other parts. I think I was quoted $1500 or so in parts then plus labor to put it in. As of now no one has attempted to do it.

Can you not replace it with a non powered slider?

I would think it would have to be aftermarket and not GM. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe once GM started to do the power sliding window then that was the only way it came and wasn't available in a manual slide version. Or replace the whole rear with the sliding window rear glass and fab up a frame and then have the piece of glass made. Too be honest, all the work and part cost isn't worth just having a sliding rear window. The only truck style I would want a sliding rear window is if it was a regular cab. I certainly don't want a power sliding window because that's just 1 more electric motor to go bad. I had a manual sliding window on my '98, but it was also extended cab and it helped push hot air out since the fold out windows on the ext cab didn't help much. But, with my '14 being even just Double Cab I don't see a use for a sliding rear window, at least for me. The only real plus for having it would be if you have to haul something real long like you would if you were a carpenter, but it's pretty much useless if you don't haul long stuff all the time. Just my opinion though.

I added a used 2015 power sliding window system to my 2014 LTZ, it required some new interior trim pieces, new overhead panel, wiring harness, and switch. It also requires a new fuse box òn the right side dash that has the required circuit for power slider

Not worth it unless it was the whole window like a Toyota. Even Nissan has about 2' wide section that rolls down. The 12" or whatever it is is too small to be worth it.

Are your windows all the way down or half way? Half way and mine is loud with the rears down. All the way down and problem is gone. That's only on the freeway too.

The slider or the sunroof will for the most part eliminate the buffeting while the windows are all the way down.

Can you help out by giving a little explanation about what you did?
