Couple New Questions for New Truck

I picked up my new 2016 midnite edition last night. I am waiting for my rc leveling kit and tri fold. Does anyone know where I can buy just a borla or corsa sport muffler (and what size)to put on my truck and what is the process of taking off the front lower valance? Also, does removing valance affect the mpg at all. Thanks for the help in advance.

It's next to impossible to find a Corsa muffler all by itself. However, you can find Borla on Jegs, Summit, ebay, etc.

 

If you have a 5.3, it's 3" in/out. Offset/Center or opposite of that, as most of these mufflers can go on either way.

 

If you have the 6.2, I know the piping is 3.5, but I don't know about the muffler (I have the 5.3, so no first hand experience).

 

Another Option, if you like Corsa, is the Volant. Really similar sound and look, just not the same quality stainless.

 

Lower Valance, I just removed mine this weekend. It's about 10 10mm bolts and 4 plastic pushpins.

There are a couple photos on here where owners have trimmed down their lower air dam. Everyone is unique in what they like appearance wise. Just throwing another option in the mix.

Measure what you need from the stock muffler. Then check these sites out for what will fit.

 

Borla doesnt give the overall length, only the case length.

Thanks for all the great feedback. My truck is the 5.3. Does anyone know the size lugnuts with these midnite edition 18 inch rims because I am looking to replace with black lug nuts.

These are what I have, but I don't have stock wheels. They might look too skinny inside the stock lug holes, not sure.

Recommend you pony up for the GM Borla, most of the time you buy a new vehicle the parts department will work with you, or ask you sales man to help out, possible 10-20% off I got my GM Borla for $1061.00 + tax, GM specifically stated the valance is to reduce aero drag, it was pulled from the corvette design, its bit larger since the trucks are taller would only affect highway MPG's, also prob... helps keep wind noise down under the truck.
