Thanks for the input. I will check the cowl for cracks etc. I didnt think that the def vents went into the intake side of the filter. The good news is, when the fan kicked in the morning it now vibrates the inside of the truck at higher speed. Hopefully the piece of seed that is causing the friction will break apart soon.

 

How hard is it to pull out the blower motor? If its not too hard it may be easier to clean out the blower cage that way.

my guess - maybe (?) the car was parked under a bird feeder and the seed dropped onto the windshield then into the cowl intake (somehow) ...
