joepres10 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I have a 96 with after market airbags. I love them!!! They came with the truck and was put on by Good Year. If you are wanting to do it your self LMC used to have a complete kit for around $700. On my 96 there is a storage box under the hood on drivers side (They put that there because on a diesel it would be a battery) My pump is mounted in there and I have a switch and guage inside to raise and lower. Pretty basic set up. On the high end you can get systems that you pre set to level them selves according to loaded or empty. when empty for my truck I keep 30 psi in them and get a great ride for a 1 ton 4x4 dually. Hope that helps a little.
joepres10 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 PS. I would go with the on board air pump. I know a few who just use a air hose with a fitting near the bumper. But for a little extra you can do it all from the drivers seat
