need new tailgate cap

Hey guys,

can you help me out with locating a new tailgate cap?

Last night I was trying to park my small trailer and ended up jack-knifing it into my tailgate cracking the tailgate cover and putting a couple scratches towards the end of the tailgate..

Ive looked at a few aftermarket tailgate caps and they don't seem to go to the ends like the oem ones?

I think id rather just go back to oem.. Ive looked at gmpartswarehouse and gmfirect websites and couldn't find..

anyone got a link?

The OEM one is so soft. My dad gouged his the first week loading a kayak, and mine had a big gouge in it when I bought it. I think it was 60-70 for the cap. I'll rock mine with the gouge. If yours is cracked, thats different.

Good time to upgrade to an Anzo lighted tailgate cap if you did not replace yet.

I do use my truck as a truck and my tailgate cap is starting to look pretty rough. My kayaks have scratched it up and left 2 indentions where they are strapped down. The cap on my 2002 model was a much harder plastic and looked better after 12 years than my 2014 does at 2 years.
