Got 2016 gmc Sierra 1500 taillights to work in my 16 Denali hd!

Hi my name is lee, I'm new to this forum. Actually I've been just a reader til now but I've read a lot of topics on how to add 2016 led taillights to the new Sierra or silverado. I haven't seen any topics on anybody who have made them fit so I figured I'd post on my experiment. I purchased the 2016 Denali 1500 led taillights from a local gm dealer and they actually came with new harness which were plug and play. At $950 dollars (pricey)

I now have the new led taillights iny 2016 Denali hd. I figure if we can figure out the taillights, might as well try to figure out the headlights. Anyway I ordered a new wiring harness for the 2016 gmc Sierra 1500 headlights and everything seems to be plug and play with the harness. It comes from the fuse box and extend down and around the whole front of the truck and wraps around and plugs back into another harness on the passenger side.the headlights will be in tomorrow so I will start working on getting the headlights to work but as it looks now the writing harness wire colors all match up to the harness currently in my 2016 Denali hd except the ends that plug into the new headlights are a different shape than mine and gm has added an 8th wire into the harness. I will check back in tomorrow with some results but it looks like this might be easier than I thought. If anyone has anything to chime in with I'd love to hear about anybody else's results. Thanks

Hello Whitemax2016, I just bought my new Denali HD and I was looking at doing this as well, I was wondering what results you ended up having with the installation.
