Denali Cluster Startup Graphic

Does anyone have any video of the startup screen in the Denali cluster when you turn the truck on? Does it say Denali or just GMC? Or neither?

Based on this video, it looks like the only place that says Denali is the Nav display and not the cluster. If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to comment

It says Denali on the nav screen.

GMC only to the best of my recollection

The Silverado head unit flashes just the "MyLink" logo screen for about 1 sec. and then goes directly to the Nav map screen. The DIC cluster unit just goes to the last screen position on key-off.

Mine does this after I get in and close the door. At engine startup it just comes on to the gauges...

Ah cool, so it is only the nav screen that ever says Denali.

That's right, I personally think it should make a sound like Dolby or THX does at the beginning of a movie lol.

They are not talking about the Nav/radio screen, they are talking about the screen in the instrument cluster that is only available in the Sierra Denali.

Oh, FYI same instrument cluster is in use in upper level Silverados except perhaps for the carbon fiber gauge panels and logo unique to the Z71s, So, if referring to the smaller 2nd color TV screen inside the instrument cluster.....that comes on with a swirl of blue and white meteor pattern....no sound.....and then an expanding gold chevy bowtie logo for about 3 sec. while the system boots before going to the last color DIC screen, usually the digital speedometer/compass/info displays. All warning and info screens in the main My Link head unit are mirrored as an overlay in the instrument cluster screen.

No it's not the same. Both Chevy and Sierra have the smaller 2nd color screen between the tach and speedo but the Sierra Denali has a very large screen that takes the place of the smaller screen AND the 4 gauges above it and is configurable to 3 or 4 different themes (watch mikemaat's video and look directly above the center of the steering wheel). Chevy does not offer this screen on any Silverado at all which is stupid IMHO :banghead: . That's the one they are talking about.
