Lol, I just watched this on YouTube a few minutes ago...the toolbox was interesting.

I saw that earlier this morning. Typically I think those series of commercials are cheesy, especially the one where he asks the group of guys to cut a piece of wood with the saw. This one actually has some merit.

I agree that most of the newer GM truck commercials are pretty lame but will this demonstration change future aluminum body panel plans for GM trucks?

Link to video? OP only posted link to an article. Thanks

Link to video is at bottom of page link.

The latch of the center console in my Chevy broke off the other day.

What's the point of this commercial?

Sounds like it wasn't made professional grade :)

Ford owners are going to need drop in bed liners if they intend to use the truck bed and not knock holes in it.

So what would you rather replace, console latch or truck bed?

You guys need to find another hobby other than bashing other brands of trucks. Who the f**k is going to get a bobcat and drop chucks of concrete like that? Yes if you are an idiot with your truck then you deserve holes in the bed. But ford is super smart for doing this with the aluminum. If you argue that find a different thing to bitch about.

Concrete was just one example, the toolbox is a valid one though. Working on the farm for example there are many times that you are dropping big heavy steel objects into a truck bed. It is a valid concern if you use your truck for actual truck duties that are more involved than hauling a golf bag around. It's a pickup, not an SUV.

I'm just saying that from what they are reporting, they are just extreme I think. I just think the advantages out way the cons. Btw I own a GMC so I'm not saying this because I own a Ford. Ford has flaws by far that have been proven. Just like I have the SLT and it has leather everything. If you want that in a Ford you have to get the $60k platinum
