Still think GM is going to aluminum?

Yes/No......They will where it makes the better material for intended use.......Look GM has patented the process of welding AL-FE and can use the same equipment and save BILLIONS ON CAPITAL COSTS unlike FORD!

Also GM stated years ago......to move that mass being a full size truck with the towing and capabilities that consumers want a V-8 is more efficient. Now go ask a Ford ecoboost guy how's his MPG'S? Also GM will unveil it's newest AFM management system that controls down to each individual cylinder firing for it's latest iteration of EcoTech V8's with stop/start, regenerative braking and 10speeds in a Truck that uses far more aluminum but not quite as much as FORDS.

So in all honesty GM actually has said all along the ecoboost is going to cost the consumer more money at the pump and maintenance costs as it's not the correct setup for such a large vehicle.

So GM took a bailout and somehow FORD become better than sliced bread.......Americans are uninformed as usual.......GO GM POWERTRAIN and it's ENGINEERS!!!

Who doesn't have a bed liner these days?

That's exactly what I was thinking while watching. They should do the test again with both trucks having the LineX option applied. I'm betting the Ford would have little to no damage.

I have one but i would be willing to bet there are more trucks sold with out one vs with one. A lot of people just don't care.

I don't think the GM marketing folks intent was to show how little damage the Ford would sustain :)
