Racing games with a trailer in tow...

I put a lot of cross-country miles on over the years, towed a homemade offroad trailer for a good many of those miles...that trailer alone had probably 500k miles on it when I sold it. I couldn't begin to count the number of trailers with blown tires, or worse, on their roof, that passed me at 70mph or faster...

The worst was probably the 35ish foot rv behind a lifted H2 that passed me doing about 85mph (no exaggeration)...I think I remember hearing later that two people died in that one.

When it boils right down to it, what is 5mph in a ten hour day? 50 extra miles? I don't plan things that tight...that's so I can take my time to enjoy the scenery.

We ended up with such a large camper due in part to wanting separate bedrooms for us and the kids. Both rooms have a physical door and not a curtain. Made the bunkhouse part a bit longer I think. We've enjoyed it, though. Our last camper was a front kitchen with only one bedroom and it was a PITA when we'd wake up and have to do things in the kitchen while trying not to wake the kids. They were on the sofa and kitchen table-bed conversion.

Mine is a max GVW of 5400, empty with 3750...the odd part about mine is that I have 8000 in tire capacity, and dual 3500 axles...unlike so many RVs that are right at max on the chassis, mine is way under.

I have an daughter and two dogs, plus the Wife...
