08 2500HD 4x4 LMM front wheel noises

Both front wheel hub/bearings, brake pads and rotors were replaced by Mech in January. I took it back twice since then for a clicking noise at low speed that started after he did the initial work, that went up and down with wheel speed. 2nd trip, I was told that they found the passenger side dust cap fell off and was rattling around inside the center cap. But the noise I was hearing was coming from the drivers side. They assured me that the noise was gone and said that any other noises that come up can be handled when I bring it in for inspection in August. This was April. And the noise didn't go away.

Well, I'm involved in too many projects and cant keep bring my truck in for them to fix it, and I certainly don't have time to do it myself.

The noise has gotten ALOT worse. And I have no idea what the hell is going on now. Clicking noise with wheel speed is still there, and LOUD, but stops as soon as I touch the brake pedal, and starts again as soon as I take my foot off of it.

That has progressed and now sounds like I'm dragging a bucket of chains, with crunching/grinding also. I hear it when going straight, around corners and more when going over bumps.

That's a 27 second video I took of the Drivers side front wheel when pulling into a parking spot the other day.

What the hell is going on with that? Do I take this thing back a 3rd time, or take it apart myself and know that it was finally done right.

WOW!! , If you, for SURE, had the front wheel "hub bearing assemblies" done ( the complete wheel hub with studs, sensors, etc)Done, then your noise is coming from the front Diff. This makes sense as a wheel bearing would have sidelined the truck by now. It could be parts from the actuator to engage the front axles.

Pulling it out isnt a huge deal as it sorta floats in there as the front is a independent suspension.

One way to be sure is to replace one of the front diff cover bolts with a stud that has a nut on it so it can be tightened, put a piece of rubber hose on the end of that stud, drag it inside the truck and put it to your ear as you drive,

I wish you all the best.... Good luck!!
