Attention....New Buyer And Needs Some Questions on 2016 GM Truck's

First off I am new to this site, I been on here as a guest time after time and right now I'm looking for some information to help me decide on which truck to purchase.

I'm looking at getting a new Silverado or sierra double cab with the monochromatic front end.

There is a few things on my wish list such as bucket seats with the center counsel and fog lights, large tough screen radio and an off-road package.

A few questions for those 2016 owners to answer...(if anyone got pictures to help me please post it)

Overall which is better to you? a Z71 Silverado LT or a Sierra SLE All Terrain? I'm having a hard time trying to decide.

What will a 2016 double cab or crew cab look like with a leveling kit? and will the hood hold water when it rains, on the Silverado because of its new shape?

I'd like to have a ltz z71, but I cant afford to spend that much right now, I was wondering will the 2016 Silverado LTZ LED taillights fit an LT z71 model??

I seen the Sierra offers a more cleaner air dam compared to the Silverado. How would the Silverado look if the air dam is removed?

How bright is the headlights in the Silverado and sierra? I think they are HID? how do they perform? and the led fog lights

ALSO DO A 2016 SILVERADO LT Z71 HAVE THE OFF ROAD PAGE IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER? or is this only a gmc thing? I can not get a straight answer from gm on this. a friend of mine has a 2014 and its not on his.

If anyone has any pictures of their 2016 sierra or Silverado with the monochromatic front end in an LT Z71 or all terrain could you post it.

Anything I should avoid on buying one of these new trucks? I readed on different sites some has this "shake" that wont disappear. Is this only on certain models?

Any information provided will be greatly be appreciated.

First of all, Welcome.

I have a 2016 LTZ Z71 with a 2" leveling kit and the air dam removed.

This is with the stock wheels and tires.

This is with 275/65/18 on 18x9 +12 wheels.

My truck does have the Off Road screen. It was not enabled when I bought the truck.

I'm sure the LED taillights would fit but I'm not sure if the wiring is the same.

I've not noticed any issue with the hood holding water but I'm sure it would be possible if it were parked on an uphill slope.

LT Z71s should have the Off Road screen. Just might have to go into settings and check the box to display it.

They say the GMCs are slightly better than the Chevies, but being partial to Chevies, I'd go for the Z71. I'd think they are close enough to where you just pick what you like better, and you wouldn't miss out on anything.

Regarding the vibrations, that, in my humble opinion, is a limited problem that gets lots of publicity due to its annoying properties. Many members on here, myself included, have 2014+ GM trucks that do not vibrate going down the road. Test drive the truck you are eyeing at all speeds. If you like it and it doesn't have issues, go for it!

You can get the Z71 4X4 package on the Sierra too.

No vibration in mine. My 8 speed gets a little indigestion but it's only on occasion.

A search would have answered all those questions that require actual answers (many times over as they are very common). The others that is only an opinion, well yours is the only one that matter, what do you think it looks like?

A GMC will have a few minor details or features compared to an LT. A level will look the same as the other levelled trucks in the threads.

Good luck with your purchase, hope you pick what best suites you and not an internet forum...

I can say for certain that my hood DOES tend to hold water. I have a quad cab with standard bed, not a crew cab with a short bed. So my truck nose dives a little more. And I still notice some water pooling if I'm sitting still.

I can only speak of the Silverado but here goes, my hood does not hold water unless it is parked on a pretty good incline, then it will hold water. I believe the off road screen on the DIC is standard on all 2015 and later Silverado's and sierra's with the Z71 option. 2014's did NOT get this option. The Silverado LTZ and higher and I assume the Sierra SLT and higher get the LED lighting with LED turn signal and tail lights, the LT and SLE and lower get the HID headlights and standard turn signal and tail light lighting. Overall all lighting options on the 2016's+ are a night and day difference from the 2014-2015 on brightness, quite a bit brighter and they also light up the road better than the previous design. I cannot help you on the leveling kit or air dam removal but my truck does NOT have the vibration nor did my 2014 it replaced. Here is mine in Tungsten Metallic.

By "off road screen" if you mean the screen that shows incline and angle, my non-Z71 LT also has it.

Thanks!, Your truck looks good! Id just wish GM would of done some kind of lip on the bottom of the bumper, that black looks alright but I would like to have it body colored. You wouldn't have a picture of the fog lights on at night? taken from inside facing out?

With a Silverado I has to add on different packages to get a few tings I like, such as the power rear defrost window and bucker seats and remote start. With a Sierra all terrain everything s included. plus you gets more for a few more hundred dollars

Yeah I know but I wanted the painted front end. I was talking to a few Silverado and sierra owners from last year and they said they never had any vibrations. but everywhere on the internet people are complaining about it.

I would vote for the All Terrain because I like the look better and otherwise they are very similar.

Your username makes me think you made your mind up before posting though.
