High pitch noise coming from front drivers side speaker.

Hi everyone,

I'm by no means a mechanic, but I can generally figure things out with some instruction. Thus, I am hoping someone in here can instruct me on this repair.

My better-half and I just bought a used 2004 GMC Yukon XL, NOT from a dealership... After driving it for a while I noticed this high pitch squeal coming from the speakers. Since then, I have narrowed it down to the front drivers side speaker. The noise fluctuates according to the RPM's; higher the RPM's, the higher pitched this racket gets. There's no squeal when I turn the stereo off. One time only did I surely notice it with the stereo off, my keys in the ignition, with the door open, coinciding with the door chime. Leading me to believe it is not the popular diagnoses of the stereo ground being faulty. Also, occasionally it will stop the noise when I drive over a bump in the road.

I've checked the amplifier under the center console, during one of the times the noise was absent, wiggling wires hoping to find something loose, but no squeal came.

I've taken the door panel off and disconnected the speaker, reattached it, wiggled those wires trying to get the sound to stop, to no avail.

I've cleaned battery terminals and made sure they were tight, no change.

It's very frustrating and I have a long road trip coming up at the end of the month. I'm hoping for a solution.

Thank you all in advance.
