Looking for advice from Fox 2.0 Coilover users

Recommended Posts

picked up a used set of fox 2.0s and the seller shipped them with the preload adjusters uneven by alot. now i have the spanner wrench for it but it seem like a bear to spin that locking collar. went to the auto parts store and rented a spring compressor and it will not fit through the coils.

So how far up on shock body does the preload collar need to be to get the advertised 2-2.25 of lift.

ALso has anyone got any tips for turning the preload collar? i assume once they are bolted in with the truck off the ground is the best way to do it but it has to still be tough to turn.

Thanks

bump...

I read through a good amount of Fox 2.0 threads lately.

Looks like these guys sent their 2.0 setup back to Fox for them to re-adjust the spring seating. They also rented spring compressors and it wouldn't fit.

Also only expect around 1.75"-2" of lift.

Don't forget that Fox re-engineered their 2.0 coilover system and the updated ones started shipping out at the beginning of this year. I'd verify you had the correct one.
