Hey there.

I'm new to the forum, but not nearly GM forums in general.

My brand new-to-me 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Double Cab LTZ Z71 4X4 has gone in for window tint and full detailing just this past weekend. Now that this work has been all done, I've made my introduction into the "new member" forum already. However, I now want to make a quick introduction to this specific interest group of friends.

Myself, I own a Glock 41 Gen4 MOS and have my concealed carry permit. I'm proud to be a responsible owner and am looking forward to learning from, and participating in, this specific forum category.

Always great to meet like-minded individuals.

Welcome...now if we can just get you over to the 1911 side... LOL.

Agreed. Every gun owner should have AT LEAST one 1911. (Even Glock guys) Nice truck, by the way!

Every Glock guy should convert to 1911s. They eventually will, once they see how interesting a 1911 is. No other pistol says "America" like a 1911. :pimp:

Carried a .45 in Korea and received my first from DCM in 1962 via Rail Way Express, love to shoot all of my 1911's and also Browning Hi Power pistols, just is nothing to compare with their record of service in this world.

I commented about 1911's above and feel it is the greatest pistol design produced, today we see it in multiple companies clones or modified designs such as the Kimber Micro or Sig P 938, and the list goes on and on, however, even the best design requires quality magazines and lots of ammo--- lots and lots of ammo. Without magazines that work without fail and ammunition that functions reliably you simply have an object of varying weights with which to bean an assaliant.

And don't hoard that ammo, shoot it and become proficient so you will be the survivor in a negative contact.
