The point of my two pics was to show that just putting in a brighter light bulb to see better in the stock housing actually does blind oncoming traffic. The stock optics are not correct for fogs, more for just looks.

Best of luck, the Rigid are a great light and MRT are great people.

Rigid make a great product, I have the E series and original dually. From what I have seen, with proper adjustment I don't think I will have an issue blinding other drivers.

I agree, I believe the Rigid have a bit more light output than the MoriMoto's, but I did not like the way they sat in the OEM housing. They sat high in mine and I would have to remove a good 3/4 of an inch or better of the plastic trim to make them fit. When I stood in front of the truck they sat about 3/5's of the way up from the bottom and I could not get them centered from top to bottom.

Once they arrive I plan on doing a mini install review. Will try and get factory vs rigid comparison shots.

Excellent! That is what I did with the Morimotos, compared the two... GREAT, can't wait to see it.

The SAE Rigid fogs are installed. http://www.mrtmotorsports.net was great to deal with and their complete plug and play kit price was the best I found. I know there are a few install threads so I won't go into much detail other than to say it's pretty straightforward. Take your time, leave the lights loose in the mounts and you should be fine.

The light out put is fantastic. I probably have them adjusted I touch low, but I haven't had a chance to adjust them using the a flat surface at a known distance. Now a couple of pictures. First are the stock fogs with parking lights. 2nd is Rigid with parking lights. I tried to take each picture at the same spot. Each picture was taken standing outside of the drivers door.

The Rigid SAE/DOT Dually is different in almost every way. It is designed to be used on road going vehicles and has a special lens that meets SAE/DOT road legal standards by having a sharp cutoff, not unlike the HID headlight systems found on high end vehicles. These wont blind oncoming traffic, but will greatly improve fog light output and visibility. Its not even a comparison to the stock fogs, and some find that these street-legal LED lights outperform factory headlights!

MRT has the best price on the internet, just $194 a pair, delivered to the lower 48. We also dont charge sales tax if you are outside Nevada, unlike Amazon and ebay.

We also carry the Rigid brackets that will allow a clean install into the factory fog position, and we also manufacturer a direct fit plug and play harness that will plug your new Rigid SAE Dually lights into the factory fog light wiring harness with zero cutting or splicing. We can create a package of all of these items, just shoot us a PM!

Want to get your own DOT Rigid dually lights? Check out our site here - http://shop.mrtmotorsports.net/rigid-ind/rigid-sae-compliant-led-lights/50481/i-2305713.aspx

These videos were done by my friend Charl on his F150.

We have direct fit kits with brackets, harness & lights for the following models:

2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

2007-2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 / 3500

2011-2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 / 3500

2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 / 3500

2007-2013 Suburban/Tahoe/Avalanche

2015-2016 Chevy Colorado Fog Mount

2008-2013 GMC 1500

2014-2015 GMC 1500

2008-2010 GMC 2500 / 3500

2011-2014 GMC 2500 / 3500

2015-2016 GMC 2500 / 3500

I do like the beam on that light. Flat and across the road: not up in oncoming traffic. That is what I am looking for with the beam widening my view at night.

i have a 15 Silverado. Will one D light fit in each fog light hole? And there is a mount plus plug and play system for this correct?

One will fit just fine in the center. Two might fit, but you'll have to do some seroius trimming, plus I think 2 would be overkill. MRT motorsports on here sells the complete kit for our trucks. Rigid makes a specific bracket for the 14-15 silverado's and MRT has the plug and play harnesses. I bought some spare 5202 plug harnesses on ebay for $5-6 and made my own with the plugs on the relay harness.

i was only wanting one per slot anyway. I have a friend that has a ram with two cubes per fog light hole and its just too much. I am also lifted 6.5 on 35s so the lights are gonna blind people either way.

Just clicked on the link. Guess who's pic is right there......

I see you went with one ? does it give you enough light for night driving . I do a lot of night driving - county roads / trails ,would two be better? present setup are night-lux LED's . Any info will be helpful . Thanks

The Dually DOT/SAE light is great for onroad use. They have a nice cutoff as to not blind other drivers, and are equal to about as much light as a set of 55w HIDs would put out. If you are offroad more of the time, you could go with a set of the dually D2 in driving pattern, which will put out 40% more light but does not have the sharp beam cutoff so be careful when running them on road.
