35 on truck with stock rims

Recommended Posts

Looks great! I like those rims with oversize tires. Although I've noticed, especially with 20" wheels that the tires never look really big like the old floatation sizes did.

I have 33" tires on mine and they look small compared to the 33" MTR'S I had on my 2500 HD.

So I put 35 inch tires on a 4 inch tuff country lift and added a 1.5 inch bodylift on a 2016 1500 z71 6.2l

Nice looking truck. Are those wheels off a Sierra?

Any rub in the front. I want to get a 4 inch lift but every kit I look at says you cannot use stock rims. Why did you place 1.5 inch spacers in the rear.

Just bearly touches the liner on a full lock but i get no major rub.

The front track gets pushed out about an inch and i have OCD so the front being wider then the back would drive me crazy.

But yes 35s DO fit with the BDS 4" lift.

I can get some different shots if it at full lock if you want

If you can that would be great. Did you look at other setups besides the bds kit. I have a denali with magnetic ride control so my options are a little limited on what I can get. I am considering running 33s instead of 35s so it may get me a little more room. Not sure why all the kits say we cannot retain the use of stock rims.

I only looked at BDS nad Zone since they are the highest rated kits aming the forums. Just couldn't do the Zone because the front spacer for the struts looks weird to me.

Most of the time companies under rate the kits for tires size to guarantee no rub and good fitment, if you are ok with a touch of rubbing i personally think 35s look much better on a 4" vs a 6". Heck i ran 33x12.5x20s on my 2014 Silverado with just a 2" level up front with the same amount of rubbing i have now with the 4" and 35s on the new sierra.

Thanks for the info. So far all have looked at procomp and rough country as they have a kit that works with the magnetic ride. I will check to see what zone has to offer as with bds I believe they only offer a 6 inch lift for magnetic ride and may be a little higher than I want to go. Procomp says no on stock rims and rc says i need spacers. I have read rc are junk but dont have experience with them.

Edit: just checked out zone and not sure if they work with the magenetic ride their site does not say. I may have to email them and see or stop by one of my local lift shops.
