Traded it in for a fire breathing sedan

Recommended Posts

I don't regret it one bit, it has been to the dealer multiple times for odd dash electrical issues and brake warnings, they couldn't duplicate it so never anything checked. The beeping had become just something to drown out with the radio. The final straw was the Mylink going black then odd popping and clicking and it trying to turn back on. I had a Chevrolet platinum wrap warranty but it didn't cover "dash" electronics. They asked me if I was interested in a left over 2016 that they could get me into reasonably but I detoured to the 2017 SS Sedan, I had looked at one years ago but didn't pull the trigger. I still have my old trusty 02 silverado for a pickup so I'm good on that portion. They even paid off my truck that well I used like a truck, hauling gravel, lumber etc.

Here are a few pictures:

Beautiful car. In a way it makes me miss my Pontiac G8 GT. Bought new, never had a problem with it.

Good luck with the SS.

Same here.

Heads up people this guy has the right idea. This is a breath of fresh air, you can almost here the poor fella breath a huge sigh of relief that he got rid of a lemon truck. If you are having a lot of problems with your truck go get something that you like, life is too short to mess with a lemon truck.

Although we do like to read about all the trials and tribulations......

Thanks guys. I may be back in a truck, but not in near future. It is a bit of a relief not wondering what beeping or warning was going to be on the dash when I hopped in the pickup. The drive train was phenomenal though, auto for the 4WD worked great in the snow, Towed things great, and was quite comfortable. But electronics popping and screens flashing like on old tube TV just scared me for my family and I's safety. If the warranty would have covered it I would probably still be driving it but wasn't going to pay $2500+ out of pocket for 38K miles 2014 pickup with no modifications except factory tires replaced with Toyo's, not even a leveling kit. Will it I miss it, I'm sure some day just not anytime soon.

Nice car and I hope you get many trouble free miles! I hope I am still on this forum when you buy you next vehicle! In the past I traded trucks to cars a couple of times but always came back to trucks. I have consistently bought new pickups for the past 20+ years.

Not every one, Ive driven trucks for 42 years for work, nice ones. I traded the truck for a mid sized SUV. I have a toy for fun and light hauling. No DD truck for me.
