Interior lights, radio and keyless entry

Hi gang, My 06 Silverado ext cab started acting up with the following order. When turning off the truck,removing the key and then opening the drivers door to exit the truck, the radio will stay on and the interior lights won't come on. Second, when either front door is open, I have no interior lights even when I toggle the override switch. Third, now my keyless entry will only respond intermittently when attempting to unlock the door but will lock every time with either remote.

 

Any one seen this before? Very strange.

I would think that your ignition switch is at fault. The BCM sees the key still in accessory mode. Did you do anything to the truck lately like install a radio where you may have shorted 2 wires?

unhook the battery for 10 min., restart truck , so the computer/ bcm can reset . This may or maynot solve your problem . GM sent letters out about bad ignition switch on my 2006 torrent - key come out why running . they replace mind . good luck

I did have the steering wheel off about 6 months ago to change the upper shaft bearing but didn't disturb the ignition switch.

 

Still confused about the keyless remotes barely unlocking the doors but will lock every time as well as no interior lights.

. I'll look athe wiring again as I was in there about 6 months ago but doesn't explain the interior lights inoperative though.
