I've got a 2017 Z71 Silverado with the LED foglights. Today it was warmish (45) and there was a lot of snow melt. I had gotten out to look at the truck on a stop and noticed condensation in the foglight. I drove a bit more and parked. Looked at the lights and both seemed to have it. After coming out an hour later , it had cooled to 37 and noticed that one of the lights was again clear the other just foggy around the edges of the light. I probably splashed the front with cold snow melt which caused the issue.

Do these fog lamps have vents like the headlights? Should they clear up or is this a trip to the dealership for a warranty check? Only got 1200 miles.

Hi bakerk2,

We’re sorry to hear about this foggy headlight situation. Feel free to send us a private message if you’d like us to reach out to your dealer on your behalf. Thank you.

Regards,

Your PM isn't accepting messages. Is this a vented unit or is it faulty and needs to be replaced. That's the question? I have 1500 miles on the truck.

take it to the dealer, foglight should not be building up condensation like that. had that issue with a previous car and they fixed it under warranty and as of today, my 2016 silverado crew cab has had zero fog light condensation issues...
