Amantinori Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I have new 2017 Sierra elevation 1500. Truck looks bad a$$ but after having it for a day I quickly realized it lacked many of the small items that my 03 silverado had. Specifically the steering wheel radio control. Also the seek buttons can't be changed to cycle through presets rater then always just seek. Does any one know if it's possible to add the controls or at a minimum program the phsycal seek buttons to go through presets? Dealer was no help.
ShamrockShooter Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 What about the buttons on the back of the steering wheel that change preset channels and volume?
slee3247 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 What about the buttons on the back of the steering wheel that change preset channels and volume? Again, yes. But it's an extremely involved process to retrofit it. I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle is the only one that's successfully done it. Most of us don't want to know what goes on with a CAN/LIN/MOST bus system let alone start hacking it apart. -Shaun
Amantinori Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 mine doesn't have the buttons and that's really all I'm looking for. I didn't even realize it till a couple days later that it didn't have. Just assumed since my 03 had and figure that would be standard in a 2017. I'm guessing after market system like the old days is outa the question also since everything is integrated
