ChevyHDGert
Do those rims look different? They look like 6 spoke rims, I thought they were 5 spoke rims. Otherwise, it looks just like the 2500HD as expected. Also the 1500 Crew Cab Z71 with 17" wheels and Silver color
C/K Man
Those wheels are different. I think the 3500 SRW will be available as a regular cab as well. My next new truck....... BTW- what size tires are on the 3500 SRW?
Zane
Guys, look for a FULL 2004 model year preview here THIS WEEK! With even more pictures and info.
bowtiebob
Mervz, I am sure that you already have this covered, but just a couple of things I would love to see some clarification on: -The new colors (Silver Birch, Sandstone, and Sport Red). The GM Buy Power window isn't worth s*** to see what they look like. Do you have any pictures? -What size tires will the HD's come with, and does the 3500 have different size wheels/tires than the 2500HD? -Since when have we had a leather bench seat option? I am looking to buy a 2004 Chevy D/A CC SB and would like to see what the new choices are. Thanks again.
ChevyHDGert
I heard that the 3500 SRW will have 16"x7" wheels with 265/75 tires and extra leaf springs which is why the rear end looks taller.
Zane
I'll see what i can dig up guys. But that 3500 single wheel is looking good to me. It would replace my S-10 quite nicely.
bowtiebob
Here is what I can tell you from reading the GM Media site. -3500 is a mid year introduction, so does that mean around the first of the year?? -So far, all models will still carry 245's on 16x6.5's. However, since the 3500 is a mid-year intro, they prob will introduce the 265's on 16x7's for those. To keep the lines seperated, I bet they don't have the new tire/wheel combo available for the 2500HD's. Maybe so though. -The 3500 will only be available in long box or chassis configurations, with regular, extended cab, or crew bab available. No CC/SB combo's like the Furds, which is what I wanted. Not a whole lot of ground breaking news, but thats what GM is releasing for media (and enthusiast) information. I would be super happy if I could just have a front 3/4 shot of a CC/SB 2500HD in Silver Birch, Sandstone, and Sport Red. I am hoping the Sandstone is one of the colors blessed with same-color fenders and side accents. Anyway, enough rambling..... Work your magic Mervz....... silverado3500
Ok, so whats going to be the difference between a 2500hd and a srw 3500? I thought that the 2500hd was a srw3500.
timk49
It's gonna be a tough time for you guys who are past the half way point in your loans. Those new trucks are really nice. My truck is only 10 months old and I still love it but three years from now I'm gonna be chomping at the bit for a new one. Will it be a big block gasser or will I finally break down and go DMax. Nice problems to have arent they.

silverado3500
I also just noticed that the 1500 crew cab has the 6 lug suspension. Will the 1500 cc be running the 6.0/4l80e or the 5.3/4l60e. Also, will the 1500hd still exist?
antig24
From what I heard the 1500HD will become the 2500 crewcab.
bowtiebob
Ok, more questions about these colors. The 3500 in the top two pics looks like a different color than the Crew Cab in the bottom one. I am pretty sure that the Crew Cab is Silver Birch, so does that mean the top 3500 is shown in Sandstone?? I had thought Sandstone would be a more tannish color, but we know its not Silver Birch and not Sport Red so...........
ChevyHDGert
The color of the 3500 looks to me like the dark gray metallic that came out last year.
