2015 Silverado: Switched 12v Behind Rear Seat?

Recommended Posts

Rear-facing dashcam affixed to the rear window.

There is a switched cigarette-lighter outlet on the rear of the console, but running a wire behind the rear seat would be cleaner.

Does anybody know if there is a switched 12v wire to be found back there?

I ran mine under the floor mats ...

Did you bother to run it behind the rear seat back, or just tuck it between the jump seat and the big seat?

Sorry, I should have been more clear:

I have a dash camera on my windshield. I was able to conceal the wire through the headliner, trim, and weatherstripping all the way until the back of the truck, which is where it comes out and runs under my rear floor mats, and into the cigarette lighter on the rear of the centre console.

If I was you, I'd probably try to tuck the wire along the headliner above the rear window (I did this along my windshield), and then down the pillar trim/weather stripping to the floor, and then hide under your floor mat. They usually give you a ton of wire to play with, so I would just map out whatever you think is best and make sure you have enough wire to do it. There's several different ways you can go.
